Transmission Atelier Selected to produce edition prints for Dave McKean
Transmission Atelier is thrilled to have been selected by Century Guild Decorative Arts to produce limited edition prints of new work by Dave McKean for a special event at The Portage Theater. One of the world’s foremost dealers of Art Nouveau and Symbolist artifacts, period pottery, antique posters and lithographs, Century Guild will host “Nitrate & Kinogeists”, A silent film / art event that will include a screening of F.W. MURNAU’s 1926 film Faust along with an art exhibition featuring some of the worlds rarest silent film posters from 1892-1929. Dave will be in attendace to exhibit new work inspired by silent cinema.
Transmission Atelier moves into new studio.
Having moved into the luscious artistic district of Chicago’s Pilsen neighborhood. I have the luxury of the powerful views of the city including a beautiful sight of the Sears Tower right out of my window. The shop is complete with 14 foot ceilings, hardwood floors, and wall mounted turret guns.
